The Silence Index
The Ghost Index

Which employers actually reply?

Every company knows its own hiring data. No applicant can compare one employer against another. The Ghost Index is built from reports contributed by job seekers, one application at a time.

Every company applicants have reported on has a page, including the ones with too few reports to publish figures yet.

Replied at all counts any answer, including a rejection — a rejection is still an answer. Met 30 days only counts applications we already know the outcome of; one sent three days ago is not late yet, so it is left out. Typical reply is the middle wait among the people who heard back — half waited less, half waited more. Confirmed is how many of a company's settled reports somebody actually vouched for, which is what the percentages are calculated from.

Reports, not identitiesA report carries the company, the dates and what happened. It never carries the applicant's name, email or anything that identifies them.
5 reports before a nameBelow that, a published figure would say more about who reported than about the employer, so no figure is published at all.
A right of reply, once we can verify itEmployers will be able to respond publicly to what the data shows. That needs a way to prove who owns a company page, which is not built yet.
For employers

Nothing here is for sale. If that ever changes, paying will buy access to data and tools, never a better score — a ranking that money can move is a ranking nobody should trust, including the employer paying for it.
